De Bonne Facture
De Bonne Facture was created by Déborah Neuberg with one goal : a wardrobe of men's essentials meeting the craftsmanship of hand-picked ateliers in France.
Who are you?
Déborah Neuberg, I am the designer of De Bonne Facture. I've always felt closer to menswear : the pieces, the fabrics, the finishings ...
How did you start in fashion?
From sketching in my school notebooks to my first experiences in fashion houses ... it never left me !
How would you define your style?
A revisited French style, understated, elegant, refined with natural fabrics, contemporary cuts and subtle details. I love seeing it mixed with more urban pieces and worn with a personal attitude.
What inspires you?
A mix of silhouettes seen in the street, of French movies of the 60s, of unusual fabrics and textures ..
What are you most proud of?
Seeing experts appreciate the quality and cut of the pieces, and noticing the details.
Where do you manufacture your products?
Manufacturing ateliers are at the heart of my project : showcasing their craftsmanship, putting them in the spotlight. Pieces are made at specialist ateliers, handpicked for their craft and story, all are in France. Each piece comes with a handtag with the name and place of the atelier that made it.
Where can we find your collection?
At Merci in Paris and Ships in Tokyo. We are soon opening a workshop boutique in Paris.
